How you can fight against climate change

Start with these easy steps to do your part against global warming, and get other's to join you!

~lightbulbs. switch to flourescent for more energy efficient lighting.
~check that water heater! This is the homes biggest energy user & most have it set to high. Set it to 120*. Switch to gas or even better- go solar!
~check your appliances. some refridgerators, dishwashers, washers, etc have an 'energy-saving' setting.
When the time comes for new~ go for energy efficient ones! (also put up a clothesline~ get away from the dryer!)

energy efficiency in the home

Although we love having those windows open for air circulation & purifying~ when you have to close them up, make sure you lock them too! By locking them, you are making a better seal that keeps your cool air inside (or heat, depending on the time of year) your house and the outside temps, well outside!! On the average, half of energy loss in our homes is through the windows.

Drive the speed limit

This has got to be the single largest thing that somebody can do to improve their gas mileage.  Driving over the speed limit increases your overall gas consumption, increases your CO2 output, and drastically increases your hydrocarbon emission and carbon monoxide emissions.

lemons make great homeopathic flea killer

By rubbing lemon skins on your cat-which is completely harmless-it will safely help to remove the fleas. it is safe and does not contain any chemicals and is environmentally safe!! no harm to your cat just the pesky fleas!!

plus you have fresh squeezed lemons so now you can have lemonade without the extra junk or trash that comes with storebought!!

Work From Home 1 day / week

If you could work from home one day every week, it would roughly lower your gas usage by 20%.
